Sunkeeper
The lights went out the night the old Sunkeeper left. Bring them back.
Sunhaven is a tiny planet you can walk around in a few minutes. Its nine solar panels are hidden and latched shut, and the only way to find them is through the people who live here.
- Talk your way to each panel. Every panel sits at the end of a chain of townsfolk. Each person points you to the next, and some want a favour first: a lost cat brought home, a tonic fetched, a cup of tea delivered.
- Aim it at the sun. Panels need daylight, and the sun moves. If it's night where you are, walk toward the light.
- Follow the wire. Trace the cable pole to pole to its loose plug and find the socket with the same symbol.
- Watch the town wake up, one line at a time.
Press Esc for your journal: the townsfolk network, a map of where you've been, errands, and how to play.
Controls: WASD move · Mouse look · Shift run · Space jump · E talk / interact · Esc journal · C camera · R twice to restart.
Needs a keyboard and mouse. Best in Chrome or Edge on a computer. Your progress saves in your browser.
This is a work in progress and I'd love your feedback. In a comment, tell me:
- Where did you get stuck, and for how long?
- Did the Network (who to talk to next) make sense? Did you use pins?
- What was the best moment, and the most annoying one?
Bonus: in the journal's How to play tab there's a Copy my play log button. Paste the log into your comment. It's only a list of what happened when, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you paste it.
